insurgent earth is a publication for critical insight grounded in land and liberation. Its mission is to re-write spatial relations of injustice and mobilize analysis against imperialism in all its material, ecological, and atmospheric forms. Launched in September 2026, insurgent earth springs from a position of intersectionality: it begins from the understanding that the environmental and climate catastrophe is deeply connected to the militarized, racial world order designed to safeguard the interests of empire, capital, and ethno-supremacy.
insurgent earth welcomes all submissions of analysis, art, theory, and testimony related to space and justice, land and liberation. Topics may range widely from land grabbing and ecological violence to climate policy, cultural heritage, Indigenous sovereignty, human rights, transitional justice, and beyond. Its editorial policy is commited to promoting transformative stories and especially welcomes emerging research and disruptive ideas.
